Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or just looking to brush up on your skills, The Atelier is a laid-back, hands-on class designed for everyone. We'll explore the basics — from art history, painting, and sculpting — all in a fun and supportive environment.

THE ATELIER

An Instruction & Technique Course for Artists

Step back in time and unleash your creativity! Students will gather in an authentic 19th-century art studio at the historic Green River Academy. Over the course of three engaging 60-minute sessions, students will explore the world of art history, get hands-on with painting, and dive into the fundamentals of sculpting. Guided by a passionate, trained art instructor, participants will complete two unique projects—one in paint and one in sculpture—bringing their visions to life in a space where generations of creativity once thrived.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students will be challenged to paint and sculpt in ways that will push them into expressive territory.

THE PROJECTS ARE DOPE

Ages 7-12: Children will participate in an engaging etiquette lesson and tea service, tailored to their age group.

Join us for a whimsical afternoon where history, tradition, and good manners blend seamlessly, leaving each child with a sense of confidence and poise fit for any elegant occasion.

AGE GROUPS & PARTICIPATION

Guests can park on Goebel Avenue. We suggest car pooling for large groups. Limited parking will be available on the property pending suitable weather and ground conditions. Green River Academy is not yet ADA Accessible.
